Description

The 798 cc, 2-cylinder BMW F 650 came onto the market in 2008 as the successor to the single-cylinder F 650 GS. The newcomer is a mix of naked bike and enduro bike; it can be used for sports activities as well as a tourer. With electronic petrol injection, electronic engine management, regulated catalytic converter and (as an optional extra) safety-boosting ABS braking system, the 2-cylinder F 650 GS offers the cutting-edge technological, environmental and safety standards that have been the hallmark of BMW motorbikes for many years. It combines dynamic driving enjoyment and reliability at the highest possible level. When the equipment, engine and chassis are looked after properly, which is no big deal for well-practiced hobby mechanics, the F 650 GS is an ideal universal bike for everyday, leisure and travel use. A bike that will be a loyal servant to its owner for many years. But despite optimum maintenance and care, there can be times on the streets of this world when a problem crops up and there is no BMW workshop nearby, and for that this book was written.

– with tips and tricks on how to do your own oil changes, servicing and chain care
– large workshop chapter with lots of handy tips
– listing of all approved tyre types
