If 2 additional main-beam headlights are used, pursuant to Council Directive 93/92/EEC it is not permissible to continue using the original main-beam headlight at the same time, although it is permissible for the dipped beam in the main headlight to be illuminated at the same time.
These can not be more than 200 mm apart – which is accounted for here.
